Young M.A. is irate that BET cut down her bars.
The cypher is the most anticipated part of the BET Hip Hop awards. Therefore, every artist who takes part in it is looking forward to fans hearing some of their best rhymes. Unfortunately, Young M.A. feels like BET cheated her out of her role in the this year’s cypher.
M.A. aired her frustration in a video posted to Twitter. In the short clip, M.A. can be heard stating, “Yo, they cut mad on my cypher, son. I said way more than that. They split my shit up. And put that shit into some small-ass time.”
She later followed up via Instagram with a much calmer approach, “Even tho it was chopped short.. I still appreciate the opportunity it’s a couple things I touched on that they didn’t show that’s why I was a little disappointed. But I just want to say thank you to all my supporters for supporting me no matter what.”
In addition to participating in the cypher, M.A. also hit the stage to perform her breakthrough single, “Ooouuu.”
