On Thursday, the “Super Gremlin” rapper was arrested in Florida. Broward County police officers found Kodak Black sound asleep behind the wheel of his Bentley SUV in the middle of a roadway.
After asking Kodak Black to exit the vehicle, officers searched his vehicle and reportedly found a “white powder.” To make matters worse, officers also noticed Kodak had a mouth “full of white powder.” Upon testing the substance on the scene, it was proven to be cocaine.
The Florida rapper was booked at a Broward County jail and charged with possession of cocaine, tampering with physical evidence and improperly stopping or parking a vehicle. His car was towed from the scene, which had noticeable damage possibly related to a crash. He was released the same day on a $5,000 bond.
Last year, Kodak was arrested in South Florida on charges of trafficking in oxycodone and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. He later posted $75,000 bond. As a condition of his release, he would have to undergo regular drug testing. At the time, his attorney Bradford Cohen stated, “Never judge a case based on an arrest. There are facts and circumstances that give rise to a defense, especially in this case. We negotiated a bond of $75,000 and we will move forward with resolving the matter quickly.”
Earlier this year, a judge sentenced Kodak to 30 days of rehab after he missed a drug test and later tested positive for Fentanyl. Cohen revealed in an email to The Times that Kodak “actually volunteered to enter and the court agreed.”
