2014 was quite a challenging year for Beanie Sigel. Less than six months after his release from prison, the rapper was shot in the abdomen outside his New Jersey home. After a month long stay in the hospital, Beanie Sigel is home and on the road to recovery. Sigel’s close friend Freeway stated “He’s coming along. He’s home now. He’s with his family, he’s resting. He should be back in tip-top shape in a couple of months.”

Jahlil Beats recently broke the news that he is collaborating with Beanie Sigel for Sigel’s upcoming mixtape Still Public Enemy. This is a follow-up to Sigel’s Public Enemy # 1.

Jahlil Beats is a Hip Hop producer signed to Roc Nation. He is well known for producing Meek Mill’s I’ma Boss, as well as Bobby Shmurda’s Hot N***a. In a interview with NahRight Jahlil Beats stated “I think that Beans is gonna surprise ‘em too. We doing Still Public Enemy. His last big joint with Green Lantern was Public Enemy #1. This joint is Still Public Enemy. It’s like a mixtape, but it’s like an album because [it has] all my sh**. Sh** gonna be crazy. I got some surprises on that joint. I think Beans is still getting Green Lantern. Ain’t nothing changed, we just doing sh** up-to-date. Some sh**that is modern right now.”

The project will feature sampled 90’s throwbacks, including a snippet of “Kick in the Door” that he recently shared on his Instagram.

Well wishes to Beanie Sigel, and we look forward to hearing the new mixtape when it drops!
