Tyga is being slammed for abandoning and neglecting his pet tiger.
In 2014, Tyga was forced to get rid of his pet tiger, Maverick, and take him to a non-profit rescue center after discovering that it was illegal to keep the exotic animal captive in his home. Tyga managed to get rid of the tiger, and steer clear of any criminal charges – but he’s been neglecting Maverick in the meantime.
Lions, Tigers & Bears, the southern California company that is taking care of Maverick, says that it has been costly to care for the 500 lb animal due to food, vet, and general maintenance fees that cost up $10,000 per year. Bobbi Brink, the founder of the rescue center, revealed that Tyga hasn’t thanked him or his staff for taking care of Maverick, nor has he offered any financial assistance.
With as many eviction notices and lawsuits that Tyga has been slapped with this past year, it’s no surprise that he has coughed up any spare money.
