Taxstone has been indicted on gun charges stemming from the Irving Plaza shooting.

A federal grand jury has indicted Taxstone, born Daryl Campbell, on weapons charges stemming from his role in last year’s Irving Plaza shooting in New York City.

The Hip Hop podcast personality faces charges including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and illegally obtaining a firearm through interstate commerce.

Back in 2008, Taxstone plead guilty to attempted robbery, which prevents him from possessing a gun. However, federal prosecutors argue that Taxstone was in illegal possession of a 9-milimeter Kel-Tec semiautomatic handgun that was used to kill Troy Ave’s bodyguard, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter at the T.I. concert in May.

Court documents have revealed that prior to the shooting, Taxstone allegedly threatened a person identified as “Individual 1”, stating, “That’s why I be telling people, you failed before you even think you won with me. Because you thinking you walking up with six dudes is gonna do something to me.”

If convicted, Taxstone faces up to 10 years in prison for each charge.

Taxstone remains behind bars without bail.
