Bobby Brown is enraged that a biopic movie about Bobbi Kristina is in the works.
The New Edition biopic on BET turned out to be a huge success, but Bobby Brown is far from happy. A biopic about his late daughter is currently being filmed, but without Brown’s approval.
TV One is preparing to release their very own Bobbi Kristina biopic, even buying exclusive right’s to work on the project. Brown is livid that producer’s failed to ask him for permission.
It appears that Vivica A. Fox will play Bobbi’s aunt, Pat Houston, while Whitney Houston will be played by actress and singer, Demetria McKinney.
McKinney will sing Houston’s songs since producer’s were unable to receive clearance on her music.
After being spotted filming and receiving backlash, McKinney released the following statement via social media, “I have the utmost respect for whitney houston and those who have followed me through the years know that. I am NOT an opportunistic person and wouldn’t post, do, say, or be a part of anything that would diminish the light that she is nor the light of her life : BK.”
She added, “That’s part of the problem, we get emotionally charged over things we do not know or have a full understanding of. Even a criminal is innocent until proven guy so it’s only right that If a biopic is made and you choose to watch it, you pass judgement then.”
TV One has yet to release an official statement.
