MadeinTYO Announces Debut LP, Sincerly Tokyo

by inyaearstaff

Today, MadeinTYO is announcing his debut album Sincerely, Tokyo, set to arrive soon via Private Club/Commission Records/BMG. MadeinTYO is also unveiling the art for the new project, which comes courtesy of prominent Japanese graphic artist Verdy (known for his urban brands Girls Don’t Cry, Rare Panther & Undercover). The art was unveiled today as a mural in LA near Melrose and Fairfax.

Sincerely, Tokyo will include the previously-released single “Ned Flanders” featuring A$AP Ferg, which debuted at #2 & #3 most added at urban and rhythmic radio respectively, has accrued over 25 million streams and was featured on Zane Lowe’s “Best of the Week” Beats 1 playlist on Apple Music. The song’s visuals were featured on Spotify’s Rap Caviar playlist and signal what’s to come from the rapper with two Top 10 radio records under his belt.

MadeinTYO grew up on military bases across the US before spending most of his teenage years at high school in Japan. Following high school he moved to Atlanta to focus on music with his older brother, 24Hrs. MadeinTYO made his debut with the single “Uber Everywhere” in 2016, which would crack the Billboard Hot 100, be remixed featuring Travis Scott, and eventually be certified double platinum. He later scored a gold single with “I Want” (the remix of which featured 2 Chainz), and a platinum single with “Skateboard P” from his mixtape Thank You, Mr. Tokyo (the remix of which featured Big Sean), before releasing his debut mixtape You Are Forgiven. More recently he dropped his EP 24Hrs in Tokyo (a collaborative effort with his brother) followed by True’s World.
