Dr. Dre is irate at the way he’s been depicted in “Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Me.”
On Saturday, Michel’le’s biopic movie, “Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Me”, will air on Lifetime. Michel’le, who is a former Death Row singer, and Dre’s ex-girlfriend, may be excited that the world will finally get to hear her side of the story, but everyone isn’t so happy about it.
Apparently, the biopic depicts Dre as abusive and quick tempered towards Michel’le, as well as her relationship with Suge Knight. In the movie’s trailer, Dre can be seen choking Michel’le after he was dissatisfied with vocals that she had laid down in the studio.
According to Dre, he’s never abused Michel’le, even pointing out that she never claimed that he was a violent person in the 30 years since they’ve dated, nor has she ever filed a police report.
Now, the 51 year old producer has threatened to sue Sony Pictures over his depiction in the film. His lawyers have sent a cease and desist letter to Sony, and threatens to take legal action if the film airs.
