Big Sean has always been generous when it comes to helping a good cause. Since the very beginning of his career, we have seen the 28 year old Detroit native give back to his hometown.

His most recent deed included donating $25,000 through his Sean Anderson Foundation to Wayne State University in an effort to help establish an endowment for the school’s HIGH (Helping Individuals Go Higher) Program.

The HIGH Program was founded in 2013 by Jacqueline Wilson, wife of WSU’s president, to tackle student homelessness at the school. Wilson was inspired to do something after meeting a student who was trying to graduate while living on the streets. The program’s goal is to help “financially stressed students at Wayne State University reach their goal to graduate”. HIGH does just that by providing struggling students with housing support, textbooks, school supplies, clothing, transportation, and child-care assistance.

Wilson stated the following during a press release, “The Sean Anderson Foundation’s investment in the HIGH Program shows their commitment to assisting those in need. With this gift, we will be able to help Wayne State students who are experiencing homelessness work toward a brighter future.”

Kudos to Big Sean!
