Wale’s new album Shine coming soon!

Wale’s has been teasing fans for months dropping little snippets of his highly anticipated album “Shine.” the DC rapper even went as far as dropping a pre-album entitled “Before I Shine”, which alone has already become a hit.

With this momentum, it’s pretty clear that shine is going to be a great success. Earlier today, Wale decided to stop dragging his fans along, and instead announce the official release date, which will be May 5. Reportedly, Wale has been working on the album for two years so it will certainly be exciting to see what he has to offer.

The album is said to have a total of 14 tracks, including the hit single “Running Back” featuring Lil Wayne, as well as “Fashion week” featuring G-Eazy. Apparently, Wale has also decided try a few new things on this album starting with his choice of cover art.

His album cover seems to have been inspired by his young daughter Zyla, featuring her small hand holding a moon shape against a bright pink background.

That isn’t the only new thing Wale is trying, he also decided to tap into his Nigerian roots creating pretty unique tracks with Afro beats with artists such as WizKid, Davido, and Olamide. But the list of high-profile collaboration don’t end there, apparently, he will also be featuring Chris Brown, and Travis Scott.
