Meek Mill has no problem giving Drake props.
Yesterday, Taxstone caught up with Meek Mill for an episode of his popular podcast, “Tax Season.” While driving around the city of Atlanta, Taxstone wasted no time jumping right in.
In the short clip, Taxstone began the interview by asking the 29 year old Philadelphia rapper what was his first thought when Drake’s “Back To Back” dropped. According to Meek, it was a great song, but it wasn’t damaging like most diss tracks.
Meek stated, “I ain’t think it was no shit that people was gonna be like, ‘you got killed.’ I thought it was hot. Like when we shoot at niggas, you gotta shoot a nigga through the heart. When you wake up in the mirror, you looking in the mirror, you hearing what the nigga told you, some shit about yourself that you can’t even deal with. That’s how we battle where we come from.”
Meek then proceeded to ask Taxstone which one of Drake’s shots hit him. Taxstone replied, “It was more or less for me, it was the beat. It was like a hip-hop, pop record but a diss but it was him.”
