Young Thug is changing his name to, “No, My Name Is Jeffery”.
According to 300 Entertainment co-founder, Lyor Cohen, Young Thug won’t be known as Young Thug much longer. In an effort to re-brand himself, Thugger’s newfound name will be revealed to everyone in a commercial that will be aired sooner than later.
In a recent interview with Rap Radar podcast, Cohen stated, “Young Thug is not going to be Young Thug anymore. His new name is gonna be, ‘No My Name Is Jeffery. That’s his new name. The reality is when you see this commercial, you’re all going to understand what we do at 300.
Because it’s powerful images of what makes someone Young Thug and what the evolution and how someone is Jeffery. It’s a circular thing, it’s important. ‘No, My Name is Jeffery’ is on it’s way. Please respect us to actually segue and utilize his name going forward because it’s important.”
Thugger is slated to drop his upcoming mixtape, “Jeffery” tomorrow, which is also his birthday. Yesterday, via Instagram, he revealed the project’s tracklist.
