Young M.A. allegedly scammed a promoter out of $33,000.
A New Orleans promoter is irate with Young M.A. for allegedly robbing him of $33,000. The promoter, Winston, says that the 24 year old “Ooouuu” rapper was booked to perform to at a club in his city, but backed out of the show at the last minute because the venue wasn’t “packed enough” for her.
Winston had already paid M.A. $33,000 in advance – and says that when he called her and her management team to request a refund, they ignored his calls and then headed to the airport to leave.
The very next day, Winston posted a series of Instagram videos where he calmly addressed the situation, which was then followed by a clip of him and his squad threatening M.A. while waving around a number of guns.
In the videos, Winston stated, “Young M.A came to the club. She said the club wasn’t packed enough … We paid her the full amount … She said she talked to someone else, and they told her not to come … Young M.A had a nasty attitude the whole God damn time. It took me three weeks to get the drop from Young M.A.”
He went on to say, “I called her about my back end because she didn’t show. She ran to the airport with her management team. They stop answering the phone. I want my motherf—ing money, M.A.Me and my team Tank Dawg Records want our motherf—ing money.”
Winston has since released a diss record, #iwantmyfuckinmoney aimed at M.A. for handling business unprofessionally.
M.A. has yet to respond.
