Wale is thankful to be alive.
Unfortunately, the Hip Hop community has suffered a number of devastating losses this year – most recently, XXXTentacion, who was shot and killed in Florida last month. Wale recently took to social media to let his fans know that God gave him as second chance at life after being involved in a nasty car crash.
Via Instagram, the “Lotus Flower Bomb” rapper wrote, “Just got in a car accident and it could have been way worse. Man thank God for these reflexes cuz I was loafin in the back seat. I been ungrateful … I’m thankful 🙏🏿.”
Concerned fans immediately chimed in to make sure Wale was okay. One Twitter user wrote, “Hope all is well king….we need you out here 🙏🏾💪🏾.” Another wrote, “Yes I hope your ok. Car accidents aren’t easy & I hope you weren’t injured. I’ve been there smh #wale.”
Luckily, Wale escaped the accident with no injuries. Surprisngly enough, Folarin was well enough to perform at a show only an hour later.
