Waka Flocka is now an independent artist.

After a long and nasty struggle, Waka Flocka is no longer signed to Atlantic Records. Last night, via Instagram, the 30 year old “Hard In The Paint” rapper thanked his fans for supporting him throughout his journey.

Waka tweeted, “I’m officially a free agent‼️ I just wanna thank every mother fucking one of my fans‼️‼️‼️ No Label‼️ I wanna personally thank every fan that called my old label 😂😂😂 💯it my nigga‼️ I’m building back up now mufuckaz‼️”

Last October, Waka expressed his anger with Atlantic Records for delaying the release of “Flockaveli 2.” Waka even tweeted the label’s phone number and asked his fans to call them and request that the project be released.

In a series of tweets, Waka wrote, “On my second single now #Noradio #NoTv No push — FUCK @AtlanticRecords holding my album up. Call @AtlanticRecords 2127072000 Demand my release #FLOCKAVELI2.”

Waka even offered to buy his way out of his contract, but to no avail. However, now that Waka is a free agent, there’s a possibility that Flockaveli 2 could drop before the year ends.
