Trippie Redd declines the XXL Freshman cypher.
As expected, after XXL rolled out their Freshman class, fans were excited hear each and every member go hard during the cypher. Unfortunately, fan favorite, Trippie Redd, declined the offer to participate in the cypher, which would give him the opportunity to go ham on a freestyle.
Being that Trippie refused to showcase his rap skills and punchlines, everyone was quick to assume that maybe the “In Too Deep” rapper never knew how to freestyle in the first place. According to Trippie, that’s far from the case, and he has a completely logical reason as to why he declined.
“So fuck all that shit. I wasn’t left off the cypher or none of that shit. I just didn’t want to do it. I chose not to do it because I knew the beat was going to be trash.”
“Nothing against XXL or them people, but I just didn’t want to be a part of that. I wanted to do my freestyle ya feel me? That’s all I cared about, that’s all I wanted to do was show y’all what I can do.”
