Travis Porter is being sued for allegedly not paying a singer.
Back in 2012, Travis Porter released their biggest track to date, “Ayy Ladies.” Singer Jasmine Usher claims that she provided vocals for the song, but was never compensated for her work. On Ayy Ladies, Usher reportedly sings the hook, which features a female voice repeatedly saying “Yeahhhhhh.”
Now, Usher is suing the rap trio. She is asking for royalties and her cut of future profits from the song. Ayy Ladies debuted at number 53 on the Hot 100, so if Usher wins the lawsuit – she will probably be looking at a grand amount of money. As far as Travis Porter, they have yet to respond to the lawsuit.
This year, TP has dropped two mixtapes, “285” and “Good Times (Strap Da Fool).”
