A Manhattan judge has reversed Taxstone’s bail.

Yesterday, it was reported that Taxstone, born Daryl Campbell, would be released on $500,000 bond after being arrested on Monday for his alleged involvement in the Irving Plaza shooting that took place last May. Troy Ave was injured during the incident, and his bodyguard, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter, was killed.

Initially, Manhattan Federal Magistrate Judge Andrew Peck agreed to set Tax free on $500,000 bond, but revoked his bail after a prosecutor stated that a witness could link him to the deadly shooting.

Prosecutors also argued that the 31 year old podcast personality is “posed a danger to the community”, and that the witnesses testimony would “directly show he fired, at a minimum, the shot that killed McPhatter.”

Following Taxstone’s arrest, it was revealed that his DNA was found on the trigger, hand grip and magazine of the 9-millimeter Kel-Tec semiautomatic handgun that police retrieved after the shooting.

Tax is facing a federal weapons possession charge, but may face additional ones.
