Shawty Lo’s cause of death has been revealed.
On Wednesday, September 21, Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo, born Carlos Walker, was killed in a single car accident. Lo was ejected from his 2016 Audi when he lost control and crashed over a highway guardrail. According to police, Lo’s vehicle hit several trees, and flipped before catching fire.
The 40 year old Bankhead legend was pronounced dead on the scene. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office has released the official cause of death, apparently, Lo died from “blunt force injury to the head.” The other two passengers in the car, Destini Carter and Deshondria Miller, were rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident occurred at 2:20 a.m., after Lo had left Blue Flame nightclub. At this time, it’s unclear if alcohol was a factor.
Lo’s funeral service will be held on October 1st at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church, the very same church where Kriss Kross’ Chris Kelly’s funeral took place.
