“Growing Pains” actor Alan Thicke passed away on Tuesday.
The entertainment world is in utter shock after hearing about Alan Thicke’s untimely death. On Tuesday, the television dad and father of singer, Robin Thicke, suddenly passed away after suffering a heart attack. He was 69 years old.
According to TMZ, Alan was playing hockey with his 19 year old son, Carter, in Burbank, California, when he reportedly began having chest pains, then started feeling nauseous before vomiting.
A call was placed to 911 around 11:30 a.m., and Alan was transported to Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short while after. Robin says that some of his father’s last words were “a compliment to his son on a nice shot.”
Yesterday, via Instagram, Robin paid tribute to his father, writing, “My father passed away today. He was the best man I ever knew. The best friend I ever had. Let’s all rejoice and celebrate the joy he brought to every room he was in. We love you Alan Thicke. Thank you for you for your love. Love, your grateful son.”
In addition to Carter and Robin, Alan is survived by his wife, Tanya Thicke, and another child, Brennan. Sending condolences to Alan’s family.
