Back in April, New Jersey rapper Qua Louie, 18, made headlines after him and his crew claimed that they had their hands on Fetty Wap’s RGF chain. Louie admitted that he wasn’t the actual person who stole the chain, but stated that he was willing to return it to the 24 year old “Trap Queen” rapper for a hefty price of $10K. Sadly, over the weekend, Louie was killed during a drive-by shooting.

According to Louie’s mother, his death had nothing to do with his spat with Fetty Wap. On his Instagram page, his mother wrote, “Do u realize this has nothing to with fetty or that my child never took that chain and this is a fact …. Do u know that this was over a stupid beef and stupid words”. His mother also made it clear that the entire incident regarding Fetty’s chain was just “a publicity stunt to be put on for a record deal”.

Fetty eventually addressed the alleged chain snatching in a video stating, “I don’t really do the little rumor sh*t. I had to address some sh*t real quick. N*ggas keep talking about they got Zoovie Zoo’s chain, man You feel me? You got my chain? You tell me where you get my chain from. Show me where you got my sh*t from. Cause ya’ll motherf*ckers is framing. You fraud a*s n*ggas, man. Where the f*ck did you get Zoovie’s chain from? You do not have my f*cking chain. Stop your shenanigans. Stop f*cking lying.”

Louis was affiliated with the Grape Street Crips of Patterson. However, members of the Hoover Crips have denied any involvement in the murder.
