Another one bites the dust. “Poppin” rapper Rico Richie was arrested on Wednesday in an Atlanta studio. However, it seems as though Rico may have been at the wrong place at the wrong time. Rico was arrested at the same studio that Young Thug shot his “Halftime” video, and police were there looking to continue their investigation into the Lil Wayne tour bus shooting when they bumped into Rico.
He was arrested for selling weed and possession of firearms. Rico Richie’s camp claims that the drugs and guns weren’t his, but he didn’t want to be a snitch so he “accepted responsibility”. This is unfortunate for the Atlanta rapper who could be facing major jail time due to previous felonies. I’m not so sure taking the wrap will be beneficial to his life and career, but to each his own.
Rico Richie rose to fame with his catchy track “Poppin”, which has been approved by Meek Mill, French Montana, and Chris Brown. He is currently working on his latest project “Street Dreams Vol. 1”.
