Who doesn’t love McDonald’s? Well, even if you don’t eat it now, you definitely enjoyed a happy meal or two as a child. Anyway, McDonald’s has always grabbed everyone’s attention with their commercials that always end with their friendly “I’m Lovin’ It” jingle. But what you didn’t know, is that the tune was actually written by Pusha T.
While speaking with Ebro and crew at Hot 97, Steve Stoute revealed the fun fact stating, “Our first big thing was launching ‘I’m Lovin It’ for McDonalds, that was in 2004 [actually 2003]. You know who did that? Pusha T. That’s crazy that Pusha T wrote the song for McDonald. I can’t remember the money [received]. It was 11 years ago. Nobody was upset.” Ebro stated he thought that Pharrell and Justin Timberlake were actually behind the song, but Stoute quickly made it clear that the G.O.O.D. Music president had actually penned the song.
