Pop Smoke’s autopsy results are in.
On Wednesday, it was reported that Pop Smoke, Bashar Barakah Jackson, 20, had been shot and killed at his rental home in Hollywood Hills. A friend called 911 around 4:30 a.m. after four men broke into the home and murdered the Brooklyn rapper.
No one else was injured during the incident, and it appears the intruders left without stealing a single item from the home. Authorities believe that Pop was the intended target. As of now, no arrests have been made, but the case is being investigated.
Today, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office released Pop Smoke’s official cause of death, which has been listed as a fatal gunshot wound to the torso. The coroner’s office also informed Pop’s family that his death was ruled a homicide. His body has since been released to them.
