Back in 2008, rappers Papoose and Remy Ma wed over the phone while Remy was incarcerated on assault, illegal weapon possession, and attempted coercion charges in connection with a shooting incident from 2007. After serving six years behind bars, Remy and Papoose were finally able to have the official wedding of their dreams. On Thursday, December 17, the two lovebirds held a beautiful ceremony and reception at the Aria Wedding and Banquet venue in Connecticut.
The formal ceremony was attended by a number of celebrities including Ice-T, Keyshia Cole, JuJu, Love & Hip Hop: New York co-stars Yandy Smith, Cardi B and Bianca, Rich Dollaz, Mona Scott-Young and Fat Joe. As for those who weren’t there, the affair was captured on camera and will reportedly air on an upcoming episode of the reality show.
Remy Ma, born Reminisce Smith, was released from Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women in Bedford Hills, New York on August 1, 2014, after serving six of an eight year bid for shooting an ex-friend in the abdomen over $3,000.
