NLE Choppa and Roddy Ricch collide on “Walk Em Down.”
Whether NLE Choppa or Roddy Ricch is your favorite rapper, we can all admit that a collaboration from them would be amazing. While gearing up for the release of his debut studio album, Top Shotta, NLE felt that he and Roddy could create a hit together, stemming him to reach out to the “High Fashion” rapper.
Choppa told Complex that he reached out to Roddy Ricch via social media, “I hit Roddy through Instagram. I didn’t know if he was even going to respond to me. I’d never DM’d him before. Then we got to talking. He told me, ‘I like to meet the person before I work with them.’ I was like, ‘Shit, me too’… He came to the studio the same night and when he saw what type of n***a I was, we did the song the same night.”

Shortly after recording the Loshendrix produced track, Choppa’s team stepped in and advised him and Roddy to shoot a video to accompany it. Choppa was all for the idea, stating, “The music inspired this video. I wanted the visual to match our energy on the track. It’s loud and fly AF!”
Top Shotta is expected to arrive this summer.
