Trinidadian beauty Nicki Minaj, 32, has received her very first wax figure at Madame Tussauds Museum in Las Vegas. The wax figure was unveiled on Tuesday, August 4, which was the first anniversary of her “Anaconda” music video. The figure is dressed in a revealing sexy, gold chain top, and sexy boy shorts designed by Laurel Dewitt. I will admit that the figure does look a lot like Minaj, all the way from the hair, down to the tattoo on her left arm.
The Young Money rapstress was elated upon seeing the lifelike figure taking to Instagram writing, “YOOOOOOOOOOO WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Had no idea they were really doing this. I would’ve went to Las Vegas for this. #HappyBirthdayAnaconda Madam Tussauds Wax Figure – whoever did this”. She continued gushing with excitement also writing, “LOL this looks like a human. Wtf. #HappyBirthdayAnaconda my wax figure is now in Vegas”.
Twenty artists began working on the wax figure back in February, sculpting it day and night for over six months. They used more than 300 body measurements in constructing the figure, before covering it in a plaster cast, removing the clay, and finally pouring the wax.
Minaj joins more than 100 figures at the museum.
