Megan Thee Stallion Introduces Thee World To ‘SUGA’, Her Newest Persona & Titled EP

SUGA

Megan Thee Stallion debuts SUGA, a nine-track EP released amid ongoing legal troubles stemming from her label 1501 Certified Entertainment.

Unless you’ve been virtually detached from social media this past week, chances are a headline or two has surfaced on your timeline with regard to Thee Stallion’s contractual discourse as it pertains to releasing music. Both parties involved have unearthed their version of the truth with hopes of swaying the court of opinion and clearing the air, but the fact remains the same – SUGA is here and that’s all that seems to matter at the moment.

We’re not gonna call it an album” says Megan in a recent interview with Vanity Fair where she provided fans with added context on the facts surrounding her latest project.

Megan took to social media on the dawn of the EP’s release with a lengthy post that insinuates a sense of gratification arising after she ‘prevailed in court’ in lieu of Carl Crawford’s (1501 Certified Ent. CEO) evasive antics.

SUGA channels guest-verses from both Kehlani and Gunna – also featuring Meg’s leading single ‘B.I.T.C.H‘, which currently boast 11M audio streams via YouTube.

Outside of Helluva’s genius sampling on Tupac’s classic ‘Ratha Be Ya N***a’ record, SUGA also enlists production credits from the likes of Timbaland, Pharell and Lil Ju. Pharell has publicly referred to Megan Thee Stallion as Megan Thee Machine, so it’s interesting to see how their chemistry will pan out through instrumental accompaniment.

Megan is poised to headline a number of performances this Spring including Broccoli City Festival and the Lovers & Friends Festival. Hopefully we can get another cinematic-esque quality visual in the imminent future before Hot Girl Summer reconvenes.
