On March 1, Meek Mill began serving a 3 month house arrest sentence after a Philadelphia judge found him guilty of violating his parole last year. Meek’s house arrest was supposed to come to an end yesterday, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. The court has sentenced Meek to an additional 8 days of house arrest to give him more time to complete the right kind of community service.

Court documents have revealed that the “DC4” rapper was ordered to volunteer his services at Habitat for Humanity, with senior citizens, and at veterans groups and homeless shelters for 90 days. Instead, Meek spent his time helping out with Flint’s water crisis, delivering motivational speeches, and visiting schools. Those were all good deeds, but it wasn’t part of the agreement. Another issue is that Meek only worked 6 days a week.

According to a rep from Meek’s team, the specific’s of his volunteer work were never established. The Philadelphia District Attorney’s office says it reevaluate Meek’s case once his volunteer work is completed.
