Meek Mill may be one step closer to freedom.
The newest update in Meek Mill’s case has raised eyebrows. According to TMZ, Meek’s arresting officer, Reginald Graham, is a crooked cop.
Philadelphia District Attorney, Larry Krasner, has released a “Do Not Call” list, which is a “secret list” of suspect cops who shouldn’t be called on to testify in court cases due to incidences of “lying, racial bias, or brutality.” Shockingly enough, Graham was included on the list.
The list states that Graham was “investigated by federal authorities for several alleged acts of corruption.” In 2007, Graham arrested Meek on drug and gun charges. He played a pivotal role in Meek’s case – serving as the only witness.
Meek’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, believes this new information about Graham can help Meek’s case. On Tuesday, he released the following statement, “The release of the so-called ‘Do Not Testify’ list—which includes Mill’s arresting officer, Reginald Graham—supports everything in the motions filed by Mill and others wrongfully arrested by Officer Graham for post-conviction relief.”
“We are hopeful that this is the final step in the process to get Mill and the other defendants released on bail and to have their convictions overturned.”
