It looks like the judge ruled in Meek Mill’s favor, the 28 year old Philly native will not have to spend anymore time behind bars!

On Friday, Meek appeared in court where Judge Genece Brinkley sentenced him to 90 days of house arrest (starting on March 1), and six additional years of probation. For the next three months, Meek will have to wear an ankle monitor during his confinement, and will be unable to perform or work with the exception of performing community service for adults. While in court, Meek’s attorney stated, “He’s immature, judge. But he’s turned his life around.”

Meek’s girlfriend, Nicki Minaj, who has testified for him in court in the past, attended Friday’s hearing. Allegedly, after the sentencing, Brinkley spoke to Meek and Minaj privately where he offered advice on how the “Check” rapper can move forward and stay out of trouble. Meek told Brinkley, “I believe I can be the bright star you expect me to be”, before adding that he was sorry for “embarrassing” the court and his probation officer.

Meek recently released two EPs, hopefully they will keep him on the map until he can get back into the studio and record new material. If not, this bump in the road could result in a major setback for Meek’s career.

Stay tuned for updates..
