Meek Mill claims he was responsible for Philly’s presence at the 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards.

Philadelphia showed out at the 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards – all thanks to Meek Mill. According to the 29 year old “Dreams And Nightmares” rapper, he came up with the entire idea.

Shortly after the awards aired, Meek took to Instagram to break the news to his 10.3 million followers, writing, “BY THE WAY…… I’m the one who pitched a philly cypher and getting philly more involved with @bet Alley ooping a n#%ga that’s throwing shade but still catching blessings!”

Meek and Beanie Sigel aren’t seeing eye to eye right now, so it’s no secret that he was throwing shade at him in his post. Sigel took part in the Philly cypher alongside State Property members Freeway, Omillio Sparks, Peedi Crack, and Neef Buck. Meek was noticeably absent from the cypher, but wanted to make it clear that it wouldn’t have taken place without his footwork.

Today, Beans dropped “I’m Coming” (Meek Mill Diss), you can listen to the track here.
