Meek Mill discusses his ongoing beef with Drake.
Meek Mill recently appeared on an episode of Taxstone’s “Tax Season” and vented about a few things that we’ve all been curious about. We’ve been watching his beef with Drake transpire for awhile now, but honestly, it was never revealed when their hate for each other initially began.
While fans thought that the two stars began feuding when Meek called Drake out on Twitter for hiring a ghostwriter to write his songs, Meek recalls another incident that started it all. Meek told Taxstone, “I had a show in Philly and [Drake] was suppose to come to my show. They say [Drake] ain’t know about it. This an arena with 30,000 people and you say you ain’t know about it? I had it set up for four months.”
“The day of, nobody comes through or calls me. So I’m backstage looking like a fraud to everyone I told because they’re on the bill but I didn’t announce their names. So the people in the back and niggas in the street know [Drake] was suppose to come. The way niggas was handling me was just different. No regard.”
Meek also revealed that his relationship with Nicki Minaj put a strain on his friendship with Drake, “Big Meech] called me from jail and said, ‘A lot of niggas hating because you’re with [Nicki Minaj]. I’m in jail and I can see that.”
