Lil Yachty is team #CardiB.
Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have been publicly feuding for quite some time, but yesterday their beef reached new heights. While both rappers are extremely talented, fans always find it necessary to chose a side.
When it comes down to it, Lil Yachty admits that he is #TeamCardi without a doubt. During a recent interview with Raquel Harper on BET’s “Raq Rants”, Lil Boat was asked if he felt like he had to pick sides in Cardi and Nicki’s beef. Yachty replied, “Yup”, and that he would chose the “Bodak Yellow” rapper “every time.”
When asked if he would ever work with Minaj, Yachty said he would have to decline the offer, “I couldn’t. As much as I probably would want to.” Keep in mind, Yachty, Cardi, and her husband, Offset, are all signed to Quality Control Music.
After taking numerous jabs at each other on social media yesterday, Nicki and Cardi decided to call it a truce and move along. Minaj tweeted, “Ok you guys, let’s focus on positive things only from here on out. We’re all so blessed. I know this stuff is entertaining & funny to a lot of people but I won’t be discussing this nonsense anymore. Thank you for the support & encouragement year after year. Love you.♥️”
UDPATE: After one Twitter user suggested that Yachty shouldn’t have chose sides, he quickly changed up what was previously said, “cardi show me too much love 4 me be in the dark about who I side w/. I fuck w nicki doe been did since elementary school.. they just twisted my words.”
