Lil Wayne apologizes for his comments about Black Lives Matters.

Yesterday, Lil Wayne became a target after admitting that he has no connection to the Black Lives Matter movement, but has since issued an apology for his controversial remarks.

During his “Nightline” interview, Weezy appeared confused when ABC reporter, Lindsey Davis, asked him about his opinion regarding Black Lives Matter. Wayne replied, “What is it? What do you mean? That just sounds weird. I don’t know, that you put a name on it…It’s not a name, it’s not, ‘whatever whatever.’ It’s somebody got shot by a policeman for a fucked up reason.”

Now, Wayne has come forward to explain why his comments were so unpleasant and dismissive. Apparently, Wayne became aggravated after Davis began asking him questions about his 17 year old daughter, Reginae Carter.

Wayne explained to TMZ, “When the reporter began asking me questions about my daughter being labeled a bitch and a hoe, I got agitated. From there, there was no thought put into her questions and my responses.”

He then followed up with a brief apology, “Apologies to anyone who was offended.”

A preview of Wayne’s interview went viral after he stated, “I am a young black rich muthafucka. If that don’t let you know that America understand black [bleeped out] matter these days, I don’t know what it is. That man white [points at cameraman]; he filmin’ me. I’m a [nigga]. I don’t know what you mean man. Don’t come at me with that dumb [shit], ma’am. My life matter. Especially to my [bitches].”
