Yesterday, Lil Poopy’s father, Luis Rivera, also known as “Fat Louie”, was among dozens of people arrested during a federal gang and drug raid. Rivera, 33, was included on a list of 50 people who were arrested and charged in federal courts in Boston Thursday morning. He is accused of being a part of a network of several gangs in the area, including the 18th Street Gang, the East Side Money Gang, and the Boylston Gang.

Rivera was charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine and cocaine base. A grand jury indicted Rivera after evidence was presented that he was in possession of 280 grams or more “of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine base”. According to a statement issued by the office of U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz, “It is alleged that these individuals were responsible for fueling a gun and drug pipeline across a number of cities and towns in eastern Massachusetts.”

Rivera’s charges carry a a mandatory 10-year to life prison sentence. He plead not guilty at arraignment and will remain behind bars until his next court date on June 14.
