Kodak Black is a free man!
Today, Kodak Black was released from jail on $100,000 bail. On Tuesday, the 19 year old “No Flockin” rapper was transferred to a Florence, South Carolina facility to face a pending sexual battery charge.
Understandably excited, Kodak informed his fans of his newfound freedom via Instagram with a lengthy post, “I’m happy to finally be going home to my family and friends. I look forward to clearing my name in the very near future.”
“I want to thank God, my family, my team (Vanessa, Phatboy and James McMillan), Atlantic Records, my lawyers and all of my fans for your continuous love and support. I can’t wait to get back to doing what I love most – working at being the illest rapper alive.” Kodak’s attorney in South Carolina, Beattie Ashmore, said his client “is really doing great, he’s very happy to be out in the fresh air.”
Yesterday, gruesome details regarding Kodak’s sexual battery case were revealed. According to the arrest warrant released to the public, Kodak, “forced the victim onto the bed and then onto the floor of the room. The defendant removed the victim’s underwear and licked her vagina and then put his penis into the victim’s vagina.”
Kodak’s case is still pending, and he is facing up to 30 years in prison.
