You can take the boy out of the hood, but you can’t take the hood out of the boy, and Kodak Black is proving just that. Less than one month after leading police on a high speed car chase, the 18 year old “SKRT” rapper is behind bars again.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Kodak was ordered into court yesterday, and then detained for open warrants stemming from last year. The charges include armed robbery and false imprisonment. Last month, Kodak was arrested after police spotted him purchasing marijuana. When they approached him, he hopped in his car and sped away from the scene. His was booked and charged with weapon or ammunition possession by a convicted felon, marijuana possession, several traffic violations, as well as eluding an officer.
In 2014, Kodak opened up about his history of imprisonment to Passion Of The Weiss, stating, “I got several run-ins with the Juvenile Hall. I had a little PBL charge – a Punishable By Life charge, or whatever – and I was about to get exiled, but A.D. had me, he paid my lawyer and all that. I took probation for 36 months, but I just got early termination, so I’m about to be off probation.”
