Katt Williams used to be really good at what he does, but now people are focusing more on his legal troubles than his career as a comedian. At first, I thought that everything Williams was doing was a publicity stunt, however, it’s clearly much more serious than that.
In a matter of less than two weeks, Williams has assaulted a pool store clerk, held five women at gunpoint before robbing them of their phones, and attacked a man onstage in Philly at a Beanie Sigel concert which ultimately led to him being jumped a little while after.
Unfortunately, trouble came knocking at Williams’ doorstep this time, literally. The 42 year old Cincinnati native was arrested yesterday after cops raided his home and found “large quantities” of marijuana and several firearms. The police entered with a warrant, which was part of an investigation that began on March 1 after Williams attacked his bodyguard. One of Williams’ bodyguard’s claims that he threatened to kill him, and even choked him and beat him with a baseball bat after he refused to “engage in criminal activity”.
Williams was booked on aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and false imprisonment charges, in addition to possession of illegal weapons and drugs.
