The beef between Canadian DJ and house artist Deadmau5 and Kanye West is quite entertaining. A couple of days ago, Kanye West tweeted a photo of his computer screen which showed him enjoying the sounds of Sufjan Stevens’ “Death With Dignity”.
But the photo also showed that Ye had a browser tab open to illegally download Serum, a music production editing software published by Deadmau5 and his music label, Xfer Records, from The Pirate Bay. The Pirate Bay is an illegal torrenting website that Ye has considered suing for copyright infringement and loss of earnings for “The Life Of Pablo”.
When Deadmau5 came across the photo he tweeted, “What the f8ck @kanyewest… Can’t afford serum? D*ck.” He even suggested that his Twitter followers start a kickstarter to help Kanye purchase a copy of Serum. It was only a matter of hours before Ye engaged in one of his typical rants, even hitting Deadmau5 with a number of questions targeting his signature mouse head-wear. Let’s just say Ye’s tweets were more than comical.
