Justin Rarri

Justin Rarri is a self-assured artist that’s hellbent on exploring the range of his versatility and lyrical finesse.

The Bronx-bred buzzing musician has been admired in the past by both the NFL and Los Angeles Lakers organization for his clear-cut arrangement of opulent-filled analogies and detailed foreshadowing of a prosperous future with unmasking 4EVARARRi, his debut project.

With a life that is considered the furthest thing from conventional, Rarri’s relentless resolve for overcoming adversity and personal shortcomings has aided audiences in becoming familiarized with the intrinsic nature of his favorable sense of individuality.

Spearheading the role as one of Interscope Records more fresh-faced talents, age is nothing but a mere barrier when it comes to analyzing the depth of Justin Rarri’s flair for artistic expression through music. He leaves no room for obscurity, yet if you attempt to understand the sensitive nature of his bellicose demeanor projected in song – chances are you would remain perplexed.

In this over-the-phone interview we had the opportunity to live vicariously through Rarri’s world by way of deciphering his upbringing, debut project success and future endeavors.

With each and every song it’s a whole different vibe‘.

Who exactly is Justin Rarri

I would say a very creative youngin’ – somebody who is a trendsetter and not a follower.

I wouldn’t say I’m a rapper, I consider myself an artist – I’m very versatile.

Do you feel like growing up in The Bronx has influenced your sound to any capacity?

Yeah, definitely – I rap about certain events that happened with me being out here.

Some people that listen to my music say I got this lil’ sound and it could be because of my accent, ya know – because of my area.

Your debut project 4EVARARRi released last year and you’re still reigning in high-praise and admiration till this day. Most recently, I see that you’re coming up on the one-year anniversary since premiering the video for one of your most notable records, ‘W2Leezy’, currently sitting at 8.8M views via YouTube. With that in mind, did you expect your debut to experience this type of success?

I’ve always had confidence in my project, I put in too much work.

With each and every song it’s a whole different vibe.

When I make music, I really focus on making something different, something not boring so that people can sing to it, relate to it and keep playing.

I expected my debut to go far.

I see that you’re signed to Interscope Records, one of the powerhouse labels in today’s industry. All things considered, what prompted you to sign with them versus signing somewhere else?

Out of all the labels I went to, I went to like eleven different ones – Interscope is just the right fit for me.

They put in work around me.

We want it, my team want it, they have a really good team built.

With doing my research, it seems like every interview or mention regarding your namesake always makes a reference to your age or how young you are. Do you see that having an adverse effect with how your music is perceived?

I know a lot of people look at me like ‘you young as fuck’, but I don’t look at that in a bad way.

I always wanted to blow up young. This is something that I really wanted, whether people like it or not.

This is what’s best for me.

I couldn’t help but peep that you were recently in the studio with Stunna4Vegas – can we expect a collaboration or what exactly is in the works at the moment?

Stunna, that’s big bro right there, we got something going for sure.

That’s not just some one-time link type thing, that’s really bro.

Speaking of collabs, I see that Lil Poppa was recruited for your leading single ‘STRONG’ and the video premiered not too long ago. How exactly did this record come together?

I did that song some time last year.

I was in the studio with my producer (SumYunGhai) and we kind of did that shit fast. He probably made the beat in like 30 minutes and I finished the song that day.

Later on, I previewed it and my caption said something like ‘who ya hear on this?’ – I was already thinking Lil Poppa in my head cause we apart of the same label.

I’m not even in my phone like that, but 8 hours later I peeped on IG that he commented on my post.

I opened up a verse on that and sent it his way.

What can expect from Justin Rarri going forward?

More videos, another project for sure.

Moving around more, just making moves.

Definitely a lot more music.
