Meek Mill remains behind bars.

Meek Mill hasn’t had much luck with Judge Genece Brinkley. Brinkley recently denied the Philadelphia rapper’s appeal to be released from prison – despite Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office supporting his release on bail.

While Brinkley didn’t provide a reason for her decision, Meek lawyer, Joe Tacopina, has an explanation, “This ruling from Judge Genece Brinkley simply reaffirms the fact she has turned Meek Mill’s case into a personal vendetta.”

“In spite of the recommendations from the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, which was supported by Governor Tom Wolf, the judge continues to stand alone in supporting Officer Reginald Graham’s perjured testimony as well as his criminal behavior that has been documented.” Tacopina added that he is appealing Brinkley’s ruling to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Back in November, Brinkley sentenced Meek to two to four years in prison for violating his probation.
