The Road To Release Has Concluded, Jay Electronica’s Debut Album Is Here

A decade later, Jay Electronica’s long-awaited debut studio album has arrived.

Social media was sent into hysteria once news surfaced that Roc Nation’s ingenious composer has geared up to deliver A Written Testimony – a follow-up to the MC’s 2007 Act I: Eternal Sunshine (The Pledge) release.

The full-length project pens features from the likes of Jay Z, Travis Scott and The-Dream, encapsulating a sentient bearing that provides insight on the prolonged wait surrounding Electronica’s calculated release – and it was well worth it.

After a befitting hiatus since his introduction in music, hip-hop’s fabled introvert essentially vanished from the charts, leaving room for speculation pertaining to his rumored joint project with Hov. Unbeknownst to many, the three initial scheduled listening parties (New York, Los Angeles and New Orleans) were all canceled in wake of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak. However, TIDAL managed to appease their loyal patrons by rewarding them with a livestream event centered around the album.

The New Orleans-based MC now calls The Empire State home, but don’t be confused – he’s still the same oppressively persistent contender who’s often revered as one of the best to do it – ever.

In truth, the road to release as it pertains to Jay Electronica’s debut effort was relative lengthy, but you can’t rush greatness – even on borrowed time.
