Jacquees Says Lil Wayne Is Still With Cash Money (Video)

Is Lil Wayne still signed to Cash Money?

Last week, it was revealed that Lil Wayne and Birdman reached a agreement in court, which released Weezy from his contract with Cash Money Records. It was also noted that Wayne would now be able to release his long-awaited Tha Carter V album through Universal Music.

After the judgement was ruled, Lil Wayne’s lawyer, Ron Sweeney, released the following statement, “Per our settlement agreement, the matter has been amicably resolved to the satisfaction of all parties. In terms of the particulars, we’re prohibited legally from saying anything further.”

“I can say that my client is happy. He is his own man, a man that owns his assets, his music and himself. At some point, Wayne will let his fans know what’s going to happen next.” Clearly, Wayne is no longer a part of Cash Money, but Jacquees says otherwise.

During a recent appearance on TRL, while promoting his newly-released 4275 album, Jacquees stated that he recently spoke with Birdman, who told him that Weezy is still signed to Cash Money, “I just talked to Stunna the other day, he told me Wayne Cash Money. He said everything good, he said ‘I’m gonna get you Wayne on a song.”

Only one day after Wayne and Birdman settled their differences in court they spotted together in the studio, so maybe there is some truth behind what Jacquees said.
