50 Cent takes Texas by storm!
Back in October, 50 Cent kicked off his Texas Takeover tour, where he made appearances at a number of Spec’s stores across the state to promote his Le Chemin du Roi Champagne and Branson VSOP Cognac.
After making stops in Houston, Fort Worth, Dallas, and a few other cities, the tour sadly came to an end. But from the looks of things, 50 was so impressed with the love and reception that he received from The Lone Star State, he has decided to give it another go around.
Most recently, Fif joined fans at Spec’s Wine, Spirits, and Finer Foods located in the Montgomery Plaza located at 1420 North Loop 336 West in Conroe. To say that fans showed up and showed out would be a complete understatement. The event was set to kick off from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., but fans excitedly began to lineup inside the liquor store around 11:00 a.m. The line later wrapped around the entire store, as well as outside of the store.
At 1:00 p.m., fans were allowed to purchase a bottle of 50’s bubbly, which guaranteed a photo with the “In Da Club” rapper, and possibly an autograph depending on which bottle was purchased. The closer I got to the front of the line, my palms began to sweat – knowing that I was just minutes away from meeting the Power producer.
For those of ya’ll who weren’t fortunate enough to attend the event, I’ll fill you in. I must say that 50 was very pleasant to meet in person. Despite the nonsense we see on social media, he was very friendly and welcoming to all his fans, which is hard to come by when meeting someone in the music industry.
Fif has a very calm demeanor about him that was sure to make his fans comfortable. Aside from a hug, I was also sent off with a dope photo of 50 and I. Overall, the long wait in line was completely worth it, because it was an experience that I’ll never forget – even if only for 30 seconds.
50 Cent is set to produce the legal drama “For Life”, which will premiere on ABC on February 11, 2020.
