Directed by Charleene Al-chamaa, this latest piece finds India in her own skin, literally, flaunting about as her words assert intimacy. “Not Too Deep” is about stepping out of the normal constructs of a relationship, so I decided to visually step out of my norm” says India. “I shed my typical comfy wear & vans to reveal a more bold, sexy, yet vulnerable version of myself. I had an amazing team that spent countless hours hand gluing Swarovski crystals to my body. We put a lot of time & energy into the details, and it shines through. Robin Eisenberg did a phenomenal job animating the second half of the video to bring the storyline full circle” she continues.
Shortly after India’s suggestive croons of affection, the visual transitions into a space-bound animated sequence for the portion of 6LACK’s love-filled prose, depicting the pair of cartoon counterparts floating through space like celestial bodies.
India Shawn’s credit as a composer includes collaborations with the likes of Chris Brown, El Debarge, Keri Hilson, Monica and other noteworthy artist within the music industry.
