Iggy Azalea reportedly owes close to $270K in unpaid taxes.
After a public breakup with longtime boyfriend Nick Young, it appears that Iggy Azalea has more on her plate to deal with. The 26 year old Australian rapper reportedly owes a total of $269,980.20 in federal taxes from 2015. That’s quite an significant amount of money, but an unidentified member of Iggy’s team assures her fans that it’s a minor mistake, stating, “It is nothing more than an internal accounting error that has already been taken care of.”
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Azalea has run into some issues with Uncle Sam. Back in April, she was slapped with a $391,000 tax lien for unpaid taxes from 2014. Azalea addressed the situation once it hit headlines, stating, “The IRS gave the option to pay them monthly or lump sum. i picked monthly, who wouldnt? Its like writing ‘iggy pays a mortgage on her house every month!’ and trying to make it a story. Its not a story. Lol.”
Azalea is currently working on her second studio album, Digital Distortion. The album’s lead single, “Team”, was released back in March.
