Uncle Sam has a bone to pick with Flavor Flav once again.
Flavor Flav isn’t the first rapper to owe money to the Internal Revenue Service, and he won’t be the last. According to Bossip, Flav reportedly owes a whopping $3.1 million in back taxes that he failed to pay from 2005 to 2015. Most of the debt accrued while Flav was filming the second season of Flavor Of Love in 2007.
If Flav doesn’t pay up soon, the government will start seizing his property. Unfortunately, this isn’t Flav’s first run-in with the IRS. In 2012, he was hit with a $1 million lien due to tax debt. It’s unclear if he paid the debt or not.
In other news, in December, Flavor Flav launched a Kickstarter to raise $125,000 for a variety show in Las Vegas. He released the following statement about his campaign, “The first is that we really want to move quickly without waiting for all the approvals and censors that come with traditional shows, and offer music at the same time because you can’t have TV without music.”
