Sunday morning, Fat Trel was arrested at a casino in Maryland after trying to make a $450 bet using nine fake $50 bills. The 25 year old rapper was detained after police easily identified matching serial numbers on the fake money. Ultimately, Trel was arrested and charged with possession of counterfeit currency.
TMZ reports that Trel claimed all of the bills came from a 7-Eleven ATM in Washington, DC, however, Trel denied the allegations and stands firm that he is innocent. Yesterday, he hopped onto Twitter tweeting, “AN ATM ?πππππ I DONT EVEN OWN A BANK CARD…PICTURE BIG GLEETCHIE AT A ATM…1st & LASTER RESPONSE 2 DA BULLS*YT!!!”. In a tweet that has since been deleted, Trel wrote, “CRACKA GOT MAD AT ME LIKE ICREARE DA MONEY…FAKE PROMOTERz DEWWILDSH*T…BUT IM NO SNITCHπ―ππ·π F*K EM….WE BALL!!!”.
A court date has not been announced at this time.
