Energy rapper Drake officially breaks his silence and responds to Meek Mill’s ghostwriting accusations. Yesterday, Drake debuted his new song “Charged Up” on his OVO Sound Radio show on Beats 1.
He took bone chilling jab after jab at Meek rapping “I did some charity today for the kids / But I’m used to it cause all y’all charity cases / All y’all stare in my face in hopes you could be the replacement / Niggas snitching on us without no interrogation”. He continued on, “No woman ever had me star struck / Or was able to tell me to get my bars up / I’m charged up / Oh no we eating, niggas ain’t about to starve us”.
It seems as if the OVO emcee made a few subliminal references to his former crush Nicki Minaj when he rapped, “Rumor has it, there’s something that only I know / Rumor has it, I steer this shit with my eyes closed / Rumor has it, I either fucked her or I never could / But rumor has it, hasn’t done you niggas any good”. Of course Meek caught wind of the diss track and took to his Twitter tweeting, “baby lotion soft” and “I can tell he wrote that 1 tho…”.
